Does "TALKING" to someone mean "COMMITMENT"?...what should i do?

sorry gotta rephrase this.....scenario: so if your a girl and your "talking" to someone...and another guy probably a clmate, you've known for maybe a few weeks comes and tries to get your attention by "talking" better than the guy your talking to ...will you pay attention?...or stay focus on the guy YOU're talking to?....will you be open to whichever treats you better and gets your attention more....or you'll just focus on who your talking to period????....PS. you flirt with this cl-mate once in awhile and he texts you sweet stuff and makes you laugh........by the way, i'm the cl-mate guy in this case...so, what should i do?
