Why do I have an accentt.?

I am a natural born citizen but my parents are from Mexico. I am hispanic. I never noticied this, but friends at my new school and told me that I have a Mexican accent. O.O Im not saying I dont like it, I just want to know why I have one if I I wasnt born in Mexico?! My mother has an accent. I was wondering if its hereditary.
