Can i be a muslim girl without wearing the hijab?

although wearing the hijab is required for muslim females , but ur friend's relative who insulted u has no right to do so, she's not being very islamic herself, what i can say is to read more on why hijab is required and what's behind all that ,,, maybe u will wear it coz ur convinced it's best !!Good luck
