Dropping out of the Navy DEP?

I am currently in the Navy DEP and recently I have changed my mind and decided I don't want to be in the military. I had a meeting today and I didn't go. My navy recruiter got a hold of my dad and told him that I can't drop out of it. I read several articles and stuff saying that you can drop out of it. I already went to MEPS. Can I actually drop out of DEP?
