I dont really have time for all your questions, but I know being a UAW member and retiring at age 45 after 25 years with GM would not of been possible with out the Union. Some business thats non union and may furnish some benefits and small retirement I see wants to (fire) or get rid of their employees once they reach age into the 50's so they dont have to pay any retirement etc. This is becoming quite often now with companies thats not under a union. They will find an excuse to replace you and you have no one to stand up for you. You just have to leave when they say with no benefits that you worked hard many years for giving them 110%
